Two exhibitions..

.. to go visit for all those that happen to pass by the North (no, not Belleville) in the coming months.

Moebius (no explanation needed i take it) is exhibiting his work in Paris at the Fondation Cartier until March 2011. In conjunction with the exhibition, he published his book TRANSE FOR ME which includes..

“some 250 documents that trace the entire career of Mœbius as both author and illustrator. With its mythical drawings, original black-and-white plates, compositions in hypnotic colors and unpublished storylines, this edition offers passage into the mœbiesque world.”

Another worthy exhibition in this jolly xmas season is David Shrigley in Museum M in Leuven (yes, that’s Belgium). Shrigley is known for his bizar sense of humour, his absurde installations and his simple but dark edges. He has directed music videos for Blur and Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy.
